Launched in April 2021, the WikiSihat competition was a joint effort to get more verified medical info onto the Malay Wikipedia. They basically asked the public to help translate and write articles on topics like COVID-19, vaccines, and heart disease so that Malaysians could access life-saving facts in their native language.

While the world was panicking, a group of "medicine enthusiasts" and veteran editors, including Dody Ismoyo were essentially fighting a digital war. They had to filter a "firehose" of rumors—like the virus coming from snakes, 5G, or being a bioweapon—to keep the encyclopedia accurate.
